An Informative Blog For Fandoms

By Leslie Ball

Movies, fiction books, comics, and many others survive because of fans. Authors, film makers, and artists get a wide fan base because many people like to escape from the realities of life. They are certainly transported to other dimensions once they get engrossed in reading their favorite science fiction books, watching their most awaited vampire movies, or flipping on nicely illustrated comic books.

There are a lot of reviews over the internet as well as some posts and comments on social networking sites that can make a material popular. A blog for fandoms can certainly add to the sensation. They will feel that they are recognized as well because of their patronage for a movie, a book, or any work of an artist.

These fans make the most unusual ways to get the works of their favorite artists recognized by many. Aside from creating blogs, they make fan made videos and create pages and groups in social networking sites. As a result, they form a community or a subculture. For instance, Star Wars fans, who have been around for many decades, have created a huge fan base for the movie. Some are even collecting some items and merchandises.

Sometimes, the fidelity of this group of individuals is just way over the top. These days, they read books then demand for a movie release. Then they complain about a lot of things when they see the movie adaptation. They criticize it for not reaching their expectation. Also, it is kind of weird how intense their devotion is.

Hence, writers and directors have to make it a point that they are creating a masterpiece that will satisfy the taste of their target audience. Otherwise, they will only lose support but also millions of dollars. Artists will have to always remember that the fans are the reason why they are making millions.

It is cool to be a fan. There is absolutely nothing wrong with it. As a matter of fact, it is nice to have an inspiration in the things that you do. The most successful directors and authors of fiction movies and books have been fans themselves as well.

If the fans are capable of helping celebrities build their names, they are also capable of destroying them. If there are fans, there will always be haters as well. These haters will bash an artist or a particular masterpiece and the fandoms are there to defend them. It is continuous war of preferences and it never ends.

The social media is the nesting place for these people. Either you are on this side or the other, you can speak freely of what you feel or think about the particular subject matter. Sometimes, the opinions become very personal and that is how disparities are born. Most of these people are really young and they could not control their emotions and words. They even cuss a lot in comments on social networking sites.

Some are disturbing because they do not choose their words and even use inappropriate language. Sadly, social media is still not capable of filtering the contents of these opinions and comments. It is okay to devote time on works and celebrities to keep track of the events of their lives provided that these so called fandoms also keep track of their schools or work.
