Virtual Reality And Augmented Reality Defense

By Jason Cole

When it comes to virtual reality and war games, Front Defense is one of the most realistic. For, the augmented reality defense in the game is superior. As such, the game, based on actual events in World War II has some of the best action, graphics and scenery when it comes to VR based first shooter games.

Front Defense is an arcade style based VR shooter game set at the end of World War II. While the invasion at Normandy is over, other firefights in the war have just started. At this point, Front Defense puts the player in the place of an Allied Forces hero attempting to fight off the last attacks by the Axis in a fictional town.

Very realistic in style and scope, the game allows the player to hide out behind various well armed and patrolled positions while ducking, diving, switching and reloading weapons. The weapons include everything from grenades to man-mounted guns and assault rifles. For, when it comes to defeating the enemy, players often need help from as many different resources as possible.

The game, created by some of the best designers and developers uses heavy weaponry in the game as this was the case in real life. As in war, the game uses the power of virtual reality and the precision of battlefield and room scaling to create scenes which are almost as realistic as being an active member of the military.

Front Defense is often reported to be one of the most intense, active and realistic games available. For, the intensity and experience of the WWII shooter is the first to use precision tracking and room scaling. As a result, the player has the power to create positions which are more strategic and highlighted when enemy forces take over a European town. While the game is based in actual events, some scenes may be different in architectural style than during World War II.

Other features include being able to use a wide variety and style of weaponry from heavy firearms and grenades to lighter ones. A player can also use dive bombers, tanks and armored cars in an effort to defeat opposing forces. With one of the most dramatic plays being to take on a mysterious Axis super powered weapon during the final minutes of the game, the finale is often considered more than climatic among gamers worldwide.

While first shooter games have been controversial for quite some time, when played as intended, these games can often deter rather than create violent behavior. For, many individuals now use these games as a method of stress release. Still, it is important that those under 18 be supervised and monitored when it comes to playing the game or acting out different scenes.

The specifications of the game are that it is a one player first shooter game with leader boards. It is important before beginning play to note that the game is Windows based and compatible with Windows 7 and later. As the game is a dedicated Windows game, it will not work with other operating systems. In fact, attempting to play the game on anything other than Windows 7 or later operating system could cause irreversible damage to the game and operating system.
